Grain Storage and Flour Mill

Through 2017-2019 we were a part of the largest flour mill built at one time in North America. In conjunction with other contractors we were able to build a 30,000 cwts flour mill that also works with local farmers on purchasing their corn and soy beans. Our electricians and automation team handled the incoming corn, soy beans, and wheat and the exporting of the mill byproducts.

Our automation team built fully automated systems for the incoming grain to limit the need for personnel supervision. Truck drivers scans RFID tags in multiple areas to get them to the correct location, set flow paths, and tell them when it is safe to dump. All while incorporating various devices to give our customer full visibility into their facility such as continuous level sensors, bin temperature cables, plug devices, and more.

A full functioning 4B hazard monitoring system was used to monitor hazards and detect issues before they become a life safety threat. The system is integrated into our automation to activate controlled shutdowns of equipment, alarms, and log temperature values.
